Say what ! Yes sometimes the craving for sugar and yep, chocolate can be a battle. Your mind fights the urge to eat the whole bar of chocolate on a Monday evening the very same day your 30 day healthy eating challenge begins ... why ?
Well your brain is to blame, he doesn´t listen to the facts and health issues, it just wants the sugar, it craves it NOW ! But why be in the constant struggle with your urges, why not just make your own chocolate, sugar free and even a bit healthy because if you use good quality ingredients, a sugar free chocolate can actually be good for you. So there we have it, but skip the white stuff "sugar", that is not good for you in any shape or form and no logic can convince me otherwise.
Still... I´m no angel and I fall into the sugar trap regularly so my advise is, be prepared !! I love this simple chocolate recipe which I use when I feel the demon crawling up my shoulder and I suggest you try it.
Recipe, Chocolate 3,2,1...
3 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs powdered erythritol or sweetener of choice
1 tbs good quality cocoa (sugar free)
8 drops of stevia, can be flavoured for example chocolate or vanilla
1/2 tsp peppermint extract (optional)
How to:
Heat your coconut oil in a pan or microwave. When its melted sift cocoa and erythritiol into the oil and stir. Make sure to take the pan of the heat first and let the oil cool down a bit so the cocoa doesn´t burn. Now add the stevia and extract and stir again. Pour the liquid into silicone chocolate mold and freeze for minimum 20 minutes.
Now you can enjoy your evening guilt free with a cup of coffee and a healthy bite of chocolate.

Create your own happiness!
