Me and my sister love introducing other stores, company's, restaurants and smarts ideas to you all, and this is one of those great ideas we think will interest you!
Cuddle-Me is a company we got to know at a craft fair we have taken part in for the past couple of years. It just got a new member: María Rut, but I know her personally from my studies with her in a design school in Teko, Denmark. Everything María Rut touches becomes so pretty, she is a great graphic designer and I believe she will be the perfect fit to this company!
Cuddle-Me is a small family company focusing on products that encourage families to spend quality time together, strengthening the bond between parents and children. Our newest product is "Tiny Moments", cute cards that help parents visualize precious moments during their child's first year. The set contains 22 cards, each dedicated to a milestone such as monthly anniversaries, baby's first smile, first bath, first Christmas and more. By shopping Cuddle-Me products through Karolina Fund you support us to fund the first printed edition of Tiny Moments. The cards are available both in English and Icelandic.
The company's first product was Cuddle-Me Clothes, a bodysuit designed to teach and remind parents about infant massage. The idea was born in the spring of 2005 at Akureyri Junior College, a secondary school located in North Iceland. It was initially a school project that turned into a big adventure when it was selected as Iceland's representative in the 2005 European Union Contest for Young Scientists.
The bodysuit is made from wonderful and soft organic cotton. It has silk-screen printed pictures of animals with long tails on the back, chest and abdomen areas. The tails actually form directions, outlining basic strokes of infant massage. Therefore, the instructions are "printed" directly onto the child! (Genius, right?) It comes in a paper box, instructions with pictures are included.
Most recently the carpenter in the family has been brainstorming ideas for homemade toys, and the first product is a homemade pinball game, perfect to entertain the older siblings.
Please check out their pitch at Karolina Fund and take part in this wonderful project by clicking this link.
