(English below)
Well I think it is time to tell you a little bit about our summerhouse project. I will now in few posts show you what we did, the steps and images of it: before and after!
I will start with the hallway. The whole house was covered with pine and for this look we decided to paint all of it. The ceilings were painted white everywhere and we did one coat of white on all the walls before painting them with this grey, green/blue-ish colour.
We love the colour and think it looks a little antique looking and at the same time modern and warm.
We wanted the hallway to look welcoming, light, bright and quite simple. As soon as you walk in you see a chair, mirror and some lovely images in a frame. All of the images are shot by María and Börkur on their phone, it's remarkable what you can do with an I-phone!
The coconut rug on the floor came with the house and we love it! We matched it with a rope chair in this natural look.
Here you can see a little peek into the first bedroom.
All the images on the hallway are shot by Maria and Börkur and believe it or not, I-phone photographs! Amazing!
An old mirror that used to belong to Maria and we simply painted it black.
We panted the shelf in a matching colour to the walls so it wouldn't stand out to much but the emphasis would go on the items on it.
For example these lovely Lilja candle holders by Krista Design which I just love!
Stay tuned for the next room reveals!
