This is Ragnhildur Ragnarsdóttir. She is our mothers sister and has a little hyperactive blood which seems to be a "running thing" in our family. She loves her grandchildren, taking photos and renovating her furnitures. She sent us couple of photos of her previous projects for us to share with you guys! So creative this lady and we really hope you will enjoy her fun ideas.
New/old bedside tables!
She found the first one in a second hand store here in Iceland and couple of weeks later the "sister" appeared in the same store. So she has matching tables that she has renovated beautifully!
The happy bed-head!
She saw this lovely thing at an on-line "second hand" market, made a bid and home it went! She had to sandpaper it slightly, put a base coat, two coats of paint and finally she decorated it with plaster ornaments. Sometime all you need to do is give a little love and nurture and now look at this happy, beautiful thing!
The dresser that wanted to become a candle-fire place!
"I saw this lovely little dresser and imagined all the possibilities with it, home it came and work began".
Basically I had to put it on a little diet, make it look a bit thinner, taller with thicker sides. I decorated with plaster ornaments and paint and now, oh so cosy!!
Expensive looking coffee table but such a bargain!
She found this great coffee table at a second hand store for very cheap! Painted it black, gave it some love and nurture and changed the glass table top with a stained and printed wood. Look how expensive it looks now! amazing!!
Black and luscious desk.. yes a luscious desk!
She found this run down little thing at the market and it really needed some up-doing! Only one leg remained so she built the other, base coated, painted, sandpapered the corners slightly and decorated it at it's new little home!
Now it is used as a setting to write romantic quill pen letters to secret boyfriends.... well it should right!?
Cute dresser!
This was a fun and easy little project, white paint, new knobs and voilà!
The kitchen chair that turned into a three tiered cake stand!
"I bought a chair from a second hand store because the legs of the chair charmed me, I cut them of and cut out MDF circles. This became the funniest little project. A Cake stand from a chair.. how unique, and it stores so many things also! :) "
"It was used at my little cousins wedding and the bride and groom loved it!"
Tiered stand made with salt and pepper shakers!
This is an awesome idea, imagine how all these things can be used for different purposes. Salt and pepper shakers and couple of bowls, now look at this beauty!
Thank you aunt Ragga for all of these amazing ideas, we love them and we truly hope they will inspire you guys also!
