  • Family reunion- Carnival style!

By Katla HreiðarsdóttirSeptember 01, 2015

In the year of 2013 Tota's family and my family were both planning family reunions. It wasn't happening at the same time or anything but that very same summer.

Tota's sister was a part of the planning committee for their reunion and my sister was a part of our family's planning, so with some remarkable talent I managed to squeeze my way into both committees and wanted to take part. We decided to use the same theme for both so the games, and everything else we did, could be used at both reunions. This was a super smart move and meant we could make it doubly complicated, and I LOVE complicated and hassle and over the top!

So that is exactly what we did, we went way over the top! We made about 20 games, all home-made with inspirational help from Pinterest. And we made about 10-12 costumes, popcorn in specially labelled carnival bags, marshmallows on a stick with chocolates and soft drinks catered on carnival style trays.

It was sooo much fun as you can see from the images! I hope this can give you some inspiration to "complicate" your garden party, birthday party, family reunion or anything you've got going on!
